Fanny Lakoubay is a digital art advisor, curator, and collector from France, with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of art, technology, and finance. She spent the majority of her career in New York City, working with arts organizations such as Artnet and Christie’s Auction House. Since 2018, she has been offering her guidance to a broad range of museums, collectors, artists, and brands embarking on their journey in the Web3 and digital art realms through her art advisory, LAL ART.
Along with the 100Collectors project, she currently co-chairs the educational program, WAC LAB, a pioneering initiative that supports cultural institutions as they explore the exciting world of digital art and Web3, organized in collaboration with We Are Museums. For the past three years, over 50 established institutions have participated in the program, including the Orsay Museum and the French Ministry of Culture (France), the Van Gogh Museum (Netherlands), The Royal College of Art (United Kingdom), and HEK - House of Electronic Arts (Switzerland).
Fanny is also an active board member and advisor for several high-profile Web3 projects, including The RareDAO Council, wild.xyz, BOTTO, and the NFT Factory. Her pivotal contributions have spurred the growth of many NFT initiatives, such as CADAF (The Crypto and Digital Art Fair), Editional (first mobile-first NFT platform founded in 2018), Snark.art, Green NFT, and The Blockchain Art Directory. She also headed communications for RadicalxChange, a civic tech think tank and foundation, with esteemed board member, Vitalik Buterin, the creator of Ethereum.
