In June, a remarkable guided tour of the Digital Art Mile in Basel, Switzerland, was led by curator Eleonora Brizi, one of the initiators of 100 collectors. This unique digital art fair, initiated by supporting collector Georg Bak, showcases a diverse array of key players in the digital art space, including marketplaces, artists, projects, and emerging galleries.
The tour provided an enriching experience, with Eleonora guiding collectors through various galleries. Participants had the opportunity to engage directly with gallery representatives, fostering an open exchange of insights and perspectives on contemporary digital art. This direct interaction allowed for a deeper understanding of the offerings, enhancing the overall experience for both collectors and galleries.
One of the highlights was a visit to Fxhash, where collectors received an insightful explanation of generative art. They also met artist Jonas Lund, who presented his new series of work, prompting engaging discussions about his creative process and the themes behind his art.
Additionally, collectors enjoyed a curated booth presentation from OBJK, where Eleonora and Operator provided detailed explanations of their work. The group also explored the booth of Makersplace, where they learned from artist Eko33 about the innovative pieces on display.
Throughout the tour, the atmosphere was lively and collaborative, as collectors had the chance to engage in meaningful dialogue with artists and gallery owners. This format not only enriched the collectors’ understanding of digital art but also created a dynamic exchange of ideas and knowledge.
